Idilia researches and develops artificial intelligence technology for natural language processing. Idilia’s technology provides software applications with access to the precise semantics of naturally-expressed language, ultimately allowing software applications to manipulate and use naturally expressed information in a manner comparable to humans.
Idilia has researched and developed artificial intelligence technology that allows software to understand and use the precise meanings of words in naturally-expressed language, a process known as word sense disambiguation (WSD). Idilia’s core WSD technology disambiguates words, including proper nouns at close to human performance. This represents an artificial intelligence breakthrough.
Idilia has developed technology capable of paraphrasing a set of word meanings into semantically equivalent sets of word meanings, which make use of different words and syntax.
Further extension of Idilia’s core technology to extract logical forms from unstructured text, and use them to perform simple reasoning, will begin later this year. This will enable software applications to manipulate unstructured text as a set of logical statements.
